Tinjauan Literatur Beban Kerja dan Kompetensi Karyawan dalam Perspektif Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia
Keywords:
workload, employee competence, job demands, human resource managementAbstract
This study aims to synthesize recent empirical evidence on the relationship between workload and employee competence within the human resource management perspective. Using a descriptive-analytical literature review, this paper analyzes peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 that examine job demands, competence, and their implications for employee performance and well-being. The review focuses on conceptual patterns rather than statistical testing and does not involve primary samples, relying instead on documented organizational contexts across sectors. The findings indicate that workload is a critical antecedent of burnout and turnover intention, while employee competence functions as a key buffering resource. This study reinforces the Job Demands–Resources framework and highlights integrated workload management and competence development as strategic HR implications.
