Author Guidelines
Guidelines for Authors Reporting Standards Authors should present an accurate account of the results of the research performed, accompanied by an objective and significant discussion of their significance. Underlying data should be accurately represented in the paper. The paper should include sufficient information and references to permit subsequent research. Deliberately misrepresenting the research is considered unethical and unacceptable. Data Access and Retention Authors are required to provide the raw data relevant to the paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, if practicable (in accordance with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases), and should in any event be prepared to retain such data for some time after publication. Originality and Plagiarism Authors should ensure that the submitted manuscript is entirely original and should appropriately cite and/or refer to the research and/or words of others. Multiple, Repeated, and Concurrent Publication Authors should not, in general, publish manuscripts depicting the same research in more than one journal or in publications other than the primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Acknowledgement of Sources Acknowledgment of the work of others is mandatory. Authors must cite all sources used in the article. Authorship of the Article Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the submitted research results. All individuals who have contributed must be listed as authors. Where others have participated in substantive aspects of the article or research process, they must be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The primary author must ensure a complete list of all contributing authors, and that all contributing authors have seen and approved the final article submitted for publication. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects If the research involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment that are inherently hazardous, the authors must clearly identify these in the manuscript. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest All authors must disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantial conflict of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of the article. All sources of financial support for the research must also be disclosed. Fundamental Errors in Published Articles When an author discovers an error or inaccuracy in their published manuscript, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to have the paper corrected or retracted.
