Traditions and customs are ancestral heritage that must be maintained by the younger generation as a form of respect and preservation of culture. One example of a tradition that is full of meaning is the Kobe Sutu ceremony of the Lio indigenous community. This ceremony is carried out at death to cleanse the burden of grief of the bereaved family, so that they can return to life in peace, and the soul of the deceased can go to the afterlife in peace.The urgency of this research arises from the need to understand more deeply the role and significance of the Kobe Sutu ceremony culture of death rituals in Reroroja village, Magepanda sub-district often reflect the values, beliefs, and social norms adopted by the Reroroja village community. Understanding the Kobe Sutu ceremony (Four Nights) in death rituals is the key to understanding the cultural and social complexities within it.The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, primary data sources are: traditional leaders, community leaders and bereaved families, and secondary data sources are: books, journals, and articles. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and finally drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the stages in the Kobe Sutu process at death in Reroroja Village, Magepanda District. have several stages of pire mite, joint prayer, kula kame, lega mite, ka wi, a ceremony, and keta nga and several meanings such as spiritual meaning, the meaning of using black cloth, the meaning of sincerity, the meaning of sacrifice, and the meaning of coolness
